BBQ Pork/beef for slow cooker or instant pot
Ingredients
- 2 lb pork butt roast (or chuck roast)
- Paprika
- Chili powder
- Sweet Baby Ray's Original BBQ sauce, 28oz bottle
- Buns (if you want sandwiches)
Procedure
- Cut meat into 1" strips, cutting off any big fat
- Cover liberally in paprika and chili powder. Add some salt and pepper.
- Put meat into crock pot with 1.5 cup water and roughly half the sauce
- Instant pot? Run instant pot for 60 minutes and release. Slow cooker? Set to LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
- Remove meat and shred.
- Discard liquid in pot.
- Add meat back to instant pot or stovetop pot with rest of sauce. Saute for 5-10 min, stirring frequently.
- Serve
